Box Turtle Telemetry

I received my B.S in Environmental Science from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2013.  With my advisor, Dr. John Roe, I studied the risks and response of Eastern Box turtles (Terrapene carolina) to prescribed fire in longleaf pine stands. I was involved in a three year project that used radio-telemetry and thermal data loggers to understand the habitat selection of box turtles in burn and un-burn areas.  I continue collaboration on this project with Dr. John Roe at UNC Pembroke.
